Terms of Use Agreement
By using the club website, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Statement. Whenever you submit information via this site, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that information, personal or otherwise, as described in this Privacy Statement.
Personal Information Collection: What personal information do we collect?
We collect personal information when you register for access to certain areas of the websites, subscribe to our newsletters, or other information you may find of interest, participate in online discussions forums and other interactive features, respond to surveys or questionnaires or send us an e-mail with an inquiry, comment or suggestion.
To register for access to secured portions of the websites, or to receive our e-mail communications, we may collect your name, mailing address, phone numbers, or e-mail addresses. We may also request information such as your profession to help us communicate more effectively. Upon any such registration, you may provide us with (or we may assign) a password and/or user name.
We also collect your responses to our online surveys, any submissions to our forums or bulletin boards, and any comments, suggestions and other feedback you provide.
In addition, we may automatically collect general anonymous information related to your use of the websites, such as the date and time you visit the websites and the pages you visit on the website. We may also collect “cookie” information from your browser to identify your computer and provide us with a record of your visits to our websites. The technology used to gather “cookie” information is provided by the Internet browser you use, and may be turned off by using your browser preference buttons (collectively, the foregoing is referred to as “Usage Data”). If you disable your cookies, you may not be able to access or use certain features of the websites.
Personal Information Use: How do we use your personal information?
The personal information you provide us when you register on the websites or subscribe to our newsletter is used to identify who you are and to provide you with the access to the portion of the websites and/or send the material requested.
We use aggregated and de-identified survey and feedback information for the purposes of monitoring and improving the use and features of the website, and for any other specified purposes relating to such survey or request for feedback.
We use Usage Data to help us to understand how the website is used (e.g., which pages or sections are most popular and when are the peak activity times). This enables us to provide personalized services and assists us in planning for future improvements to the website to better meet our visitors’ needs.
Specific Use and Protection Measures
The following measures shall be employed on this website to protect the privacy of our members and guests:
- Email addresses will not be listed on this website. A "Contact Us" online form will be used to facilitate contact from members or the general public. This will also combat the proliferation of unsolicited email by web-based spambots that harvest email addresses from websites.
- Personal information provided by an individual in a "Contact Us" form on this website will be used for contact purposes only and will not be published on this website without consent of the individual.
- Phone numbers may be listed if they appear in the AMS&NW District Directory as that is considered as member consent to publish their phone number.
- Names and digital images of children shall not be linked to one another without the express written consent from the child's parent or legal guardian.
- Names and digital images of Optimist members can be published provided consent has been provided by the individual, or that a public notice has been posted at an event that digital photos may be used for the Zone website.
Disclosure: When is your personal information disclosed to third parties?
Except as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy, we will not sell, transfer or otherwise disclose any of your personal information to any third party without your consent.
We must provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or as otherwise required by law.
Use of Cookies: Information Automatically Placed on Your Computer's Hard Drive
When you access some sections of the club website, we may store some information on your computer, in the form of a "Cookie". A cookie is a piece of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your computer as a small text file. Cookies allow us to tailor the website content to better match your interests and preferences. With most Internet Browsers, you can erase Cookies from your computer hard drive, block all Cookies, or receive a warning before a Cookie is stored. Please note, however, that blocking or disabling cookies will limit your access to non-restricted content sections, and erasing cookies will require that you re-register if you wish to access content in restricted sections of the site.

We have no control over such sites and do not have responsibility or liability for the manner in which the organizations that operate such linked sites may collect, use or disclose and otherwise treat your personal information.
Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, e-mail address, phone numbers, mailing addresses) in discussion forums that such information could be collected and used by others that do not follow our strict privacy guidelines and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or parties.
