All available members are asked to help out at this
major safety activity event at Northlands Park. An
estimated 200 kids from the Boys and Girls Clubs of
Edmonton will be attending; possibly even more kids
are expected. We have been asked to provide 15- 20
Optimist members to operate safety stations, fit helmets,
assist with balloons, help kids create safety messages
and posters, operate a snack station, plus many other fun
activities.
Members are asked to arrive at 9:00a.m. and the event

runs until 2pm. If you arrive early then you can help with
set-up. Weather permitting , it will be held outside
where the TELUS Stage is located near the EXPO
Centre. However if it is raining it will be held inside in
Hall D.
A similar event was recently operated by Red Deer
Optimist and was most successful. We are working
with AMA, “Brain Care”, Edmonton Police, “The
Spoke”, Royal Alexander Hospital and the B&G Club
and other agencies. Contact Opt Keivin if you need
