Bike Safety Events

A dozen Edmonton Dinner Optimist are needed
April 26 help with this event for Boys & Girls Clubs
of Edmonton. Our role will be to fit helmet and act
as support for the bicycle safety event. The kids
are bussed in from several Boys & Girls Clubs
and usually have about 100 attend. The event will
be held indoors at Northlands. Contact Opt

Edmonton Dinner is operating a Beaver Bike
Safety event on Tuesday April 29 at the Britannia-
Youngstown Hall. About 50 kids usually attend
and Optimists are needed for Mechanic checks
and to operate a rodeo in the tennis court area.

The Bikeree will be held Saturday May 10th . The
Optimists are running this event in the river valley
and we expect 200 to attend. Already we are at
about 150, with 10 packs so expect this to be
another success. Optimists are asked to contact
local business for grab bag items. At the end of
the Safety events kids are given a bag of items
such as pens, pencils, key chains and safety
related promotional items.
