The Optimist Alberta Juvenile Curling Championships were held Feb 27-Mar 1 at the fantastic Saville Community Centre in Edmonton. The Opening Ceremony on Feb 27th was awesome as the Teams from Northern, Southern and Peace Regions were paraded onto the ice lead by a Piper. About a 100 young people were involved. Three days of curling was held and congratulations to the following who advance to the Internationals:

Awards were Presented by President Clint and Lt. Gov Marvin. Thank you to President Clint and his team for a show case Optimist event.
*This year the Optimist Under-18 International Curling Championships will be held in Edmonton at the Jasper Place Curling Club and the Saville Community Centre Apr 1-Apr 5 in Edmonton.
Contact President Clint if you are able to attend any of these events. We will have a table with Optimist information and it is important that all times are covered so a shift list will be set-up for members.
