Our next meeting is April 8th

Our next meeting will be Monday April 8th at 6:15 PM and it will be at the Continental Inn 16625 Stony Plain Rd. This will be a program meeting with our Oratorical Contest.

The Optimist Oratorical Contest  has become the longest-running program sponsored by Optimist International.  Now with a total prize of $25 000 we have at least two speakers who will give us a presentation on the Topic: “Is There a Fine Line Between Optimism and Reality?” The students will speak for about 5 minutes each and then we will hear feedback from selected individuals. Hopefully we will have three contestants so we can have the contest however the two speakers on April 8th will automatically go to the Regional Oratorical Competition taking place on May 4th, 2019. 

 The Regional Competition will take place in Red Deer at Tiffanys Restaurant at 3515 Gaetz Ave (50th Ave) Red Deer starting at 1:30 PM

If time permits, brief reports will follow. Don’t forget this is our birthday cake meeting. Please attend this important meeting and please bring a guest..
